BT deal expiring... leave or haggle?

Options
I have BT Fibre and line rental, but never use the phone and don't use or want their TV or mobile services. I was on a great deal £10/month, now gone up to £30 and next month up to £45!

I see online Vodaphone, SSE and PlusNet all doing comparable products at £20-25 and I can get cashback £40-55. Well, TalkTalk as well but I refuse to use them.

My phone line is realistically only able to get about 25Mbps as we have a wire coming up a private road - OpenReach came and verified this after we moved in - so the better 50Mbps BT offer of Fibre 1 compared to 35 with the others isn't much use, and ultrafast Fibre 70+ isn't supported.

I've been with BT for years, always phoning up and getting a decent deal, but it's a PITA. I can't decide whether to just apply for one of the others online and save myself the hassle, or if BT will match... but then in 18 months I'll have the same as their base price is always higher.

On top of this, both Vodaphone and SSE had TERRIBLE feedback when I last looked 2 years ago... loads of people getting really slow speeds. Has this been resolved? MSE feedback give them both OK scores.

Thanks!

I switched from Plusnet to Vodafone the switch was seamless. The service from both had been fine but it just boiled down to price in the end.

When switching can you tell the new provider what date you want the switch to happen. Also when ordering on,one do you get the option of keeping your phone number or do you have to speak to cs on the phone. Hoping to switch from bt to plus netbin mid August.
