Not used them to sell but have used them to buy. They were absolutely fine.
  • As some have already said on here, I too experienced similar problems with PB and wouldn't recommend them.

I signed up to them and paid upfront but kept getting told one thing by PB local agent then it changed after I paid and then delay tactics not answering questions etc.

So I cancelled during the 'cooling off period' and went with another online agent who I found to be much better. There are a lot of online agents but I found sellmyhome to be ok and I think you might be able to get cashback too.

All the best in selling your home.

It seems that all they do is take some mediocre pictures, cut-and-paste the description, slap it all up on Zoopla and Rightmove, and then retire to the pub.

I thought that was what EA's were trained to do.

Get that right at Estate Agent school and they're away.

    ;)

I've actually found Premier Property Lawyers to be quite good and on the ball, even getting updated on a Sunday afternoon. Our purchase has gone quite smoothly and we are getting close to exchange now. It has been about 4.5 weeks so far, the bulk of that being waiting for searches to come back.

We are having a total nightmare with premier property lawyers. Its our vendors solicitor (recommended to them by PB!). Our solicitor has heard nothing from them for over a month now despite sending 2 emails a week to chase them up.

A quick google of reviews fills me despair! They seem shocking!

Purple bricks seem a lot quicker now in responding to us and trying to push things along but seems even they cant kick PPL into action. We are now considering cutting our losses and pulling out while we still have time find somewhere else before our mortgage offer expires.

Going to book a couple of viewings this weekend. None will be through Purple Bricks!

Speak of the devil. Ive just had an email from PB post sales to say they will be in contact with our solicitor to find out the outstanding enquiries, its obviously been so long since they picked the file up that they've forgotten which enquiries haven't been responded to! :wall:

We shall see if anythings comes of this...
  • Hi....I have just used them, appalling service....My PB agents Paul Gates from Worthing West Sussex over priced my house by £50000 and in 150 days I did not get one viewing, I then started to check them out....which i should have done beforehand. Paul Gates got his fee and that was it....not answering his phone....Blah Blah, just so long to list....go to all the review sites and you will read just how bad these people are. I had the nerve to complaint to them and they kicked me off for inappropriate behaviour, which was a bit odd as thats what i was complaining to them about...
I wrote to top head office and got treated appallingly by them as well. I have sent my paperwork to the property Ombudsman and they are dealing with it....today PB they took out £899 of my card for a service i never had.....so bank next then lawyers and TV and so on.....this is the short version, just best not to got here , this is not for the fainthearted.....i am going all they way with these people.....they are robbing you in your own home....pay the extra and use a high st agent....there all bad....but Purplebricks are far far worst...

The PB fee is an upfront fee and you pay the regardless, it does sound like you opted for the deferred fee option and it will say in the contract you sign that payment will be taken.

The deferred fee is normally a finance option so it would have been the finance company and not PB that took the money

i would NOT use purple bricks as had a very bad experience with them. To sum up they are unprofessional and misleading. please do not go by their reviews on trust pilot just google them to see how many people have had bad experiences with them- for your own sake please go elsewhere!
