Just posted in discussion time about the awful shedule planning for TV today five hours this afternoon on BBC1 of football, five hours on BBC 2 of tennis and five hours of horseracing on ITV I do hope Nelski isn't stuck without anything to amuse herself this afternoon.
Great if you like and enjoy sport but not everyone does. I can get out and about, or read or listen to the wireless or just sit and surf the net but again not everyone has these choices.
Also not everyone has or can afford cable or Sky, I have housebound friends who have neither and they live in an area where freeview isn't easy to get. `i think today has been a bit of overkill with the sports schedules for a lot of people
Treated our gentle Jack to a nice nosh courtesy of a brewers Fayre voucher and some cash from my Happy Cash Stashcomes in handy for treats I just checked the Dunelm site and their sale is on until Sunday so I am going to nip down to sittingbourne and get his new duvet, pillows and sheets for Uni before it finishes

Rain stopped. Sun came out just in time to give me a simply glorious drive down the penisula, it was such a pleasure. My colleague was such a star, she's helped me with so much, organised everything, downloaded, uploaded, searched and supplied me with practically everything I need for Monday.
When I arrived home about 2.30pm the wind was up so I chanced a quick wash and got it out on the line. Now it's all dry. :j It's too cold and windy now to sit out, maybe tomorrow.
My DM phoned me (as my DM can't use the phone) to tell me that all her tests were clear and heart failure is off the board for now. :j:j That means I'll sleep better tonight - googling didn't help me last night. I've emailed DM the good news.
Jackie O - I agree about the TV just now...far too much sport on. Thank goodness for iPlayer and so on. As for Freeview, I too am in a challenging area but use Freesat instead. It's a dish but no charge for any TV programmes. Freeview gives me four stations even though the mast is almost in direct line to my house. Freesat has hundreds, and the bonus is that it receives all regional programmes too so I can still see BBC Look North if I want.
BBC Scotland sometimes has different programmes to BBC England, so I can go to BBC England on Freesat, as well as Wales, NI and Alba.0 -

I so agree about the football.....both men here are avid watchers, with OH needing to watch tennis to fill any gaps!
Happily I only need to suffer for two more days, we are off to Sardinia for 2 weeks on Saturday, looking forward to it once I get OH through the airport, he will be wound up like a spring from the time we leave the house......I am just trying to think in Italian as I haven't spoken any since our last trip four years ago. Hopefully it will come back.
So, I will be missing for 2 weeks, no WiFi unless I go to an internet cafe which I tend to save for emergencies. I hope that everybody enjoys the predicted warm weather, and that those with illnesses find it easier to cope.
Love you all,
