    Morning all,

Slept well thankfully, heard Youngest a couple of times in the night sneezing but this air purifier seems to be doing its job.

Not much to do in the house today, mainly laundry and cleaning up after the hounds.

I'm expecting Prodigal at some point too.

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

    Morning everyone,

Bit cloudy at the moment but warm and breezy so the WM is doing it’s thing.

Our garden is like a springwatch set, we have so many hedge sparrows bringing their babies out on to the lawn to feed, the woodpecker parents are teaching their babies how to hang off the nut feeders and the latest baby rabbit batch are out from behind the shed and kicking up their heels. It’s lovely :D

DOH is off to an interview this morning, after several years of working for himself he has decided to get back into a company environment so will be keeping fingers crossed for him.

Thanks for the well wishes for Lu, she was back to her normal self yesterday and enjoyed a pamper session from her Mum, at just 6 she is a baby still.

Hope everyone has a good day and take care folks x

    Morning everyone,

    Happy hump day.

I worked a bit late last night so by the time I got home and made my dinner, I was ready for bed at circa 9pm.

Despite this, I still managed to sleep in a bit this morning. Bu I went to the gym and now sitting in work waiting on a coffee.

I've got football tonight but we're struggling to get 14 guys together. I wouldn't mind if it's cancelled to be honest as I've a few things I'd like to get done, including making a double chocolate and raspberry cake.

Snoozer - Safe travels! I hope DH didn't take too long packing.
TA - Enjoy your little trip
RR - Good luck today. Hope you get it all sorted.
Gers - I've driven that road many times myself. Try and enjoy the views, if the weather allows. Safe travels.

    Morning all,
Raining here, very dreary. It's my fault-I bought a new parasol for the garden table :D I've not taken Ly1a out yet,I'll wait till the school traffic has gone from the top of the road near the park. Its only a narrow road but is a bit of a short cut for people dropping off at the high school & they dont mind how fast they go
Another check on Ly's ears/eyes at the vets last night. He's cautiously pleased as they're looking good atm.We have to finish the drops but the anti'bs are done now.Apparently the bacteria causing the infection in her right ear is resistant to antibiotics, but we dont have to see him for another month unless it gets bad again.Luckily the waiting room was quiet, only one other dog.She nearly pulled DH out of the door in her rush to get out of the place :rotfl:

I finished off a summer top yesterday.I used some fabric from my stash so thats good. Just need the sun back.I also cleaned the front and back windows and doors, looking so much better. Not sure whats for tea yet, will freezer rummage after.I've ordered another meat pack from the butcher to pick up tomorrow. He announces whats in it with a photo on Monday evening on FB and you just reply-dead easy :).He also lets you have upto 3 swaps & its all been good so far.

Right traffic should nearly have gone so we're off.Hugs to anyone having a hard time at the moment xx

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Its OH's birthday, 85 today, a card opening session this morning, cards from his step children but not from his son, nothing on fathers day either!!
We are going out for afternoon tea. I did give him a choice, but he chose tea, so thats fine.

Bright, but windy morning. OH is going to lift the onions and garlic, I will have to string them at some point.

As we are going out for tea we will not be having supper, just a snack later. I need to do a freezer audit at some point today, its Aldi day tomorrow.

Cleaners were here yesterday, so the house is nice and clean. before she came I cleaned the 'spots' off the carpet, it really could do with cleaning, but the thought of having to move all the furniture fills me with dread. I need to try and find a carpet cleaner who can move the furniture as they go. we can empty and move the book case, but the large chest in the hall is something else.

Thanks for the thread Holly, hugs to all those in need.
CHS has been dropped at work, I'm about to launch myself into the housework. I'm hoping it will brighten up later so there is enough solar to run the washing machine.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

Good Morning everyone and I am now fighting fit and bright as a button this morning Thank you for all your good wishes I certainly feel so much better this morning. I am pottering this morning then will go to Dds at lunchtime and probably take DGS Jack out for lunch as a treat for him he missed it when I took his brothers out a few weeks ago as he was deep into revising so we will go to a place of his choice to eat (probably the village pub about three miles away as he too enjoys their food.

Looks likes its going to be a scorcher here in Kent today with top forecast of 25c so lots of sun cream for me Too hot for fence painting by DGS I think so he can make a start later this week when its a little cooler.

TA hope you can get something for your OH to eat even if its only ice cream its a food and better than wasting it, but don't forget to eat properly yourself as its important to keep your strength up as well.

Hope nelski has got her dressings sorted I too had problems with dressings as I am allergic to any rubber based product and had to have special dressings called Tielle Light which were quite pricey but the only things I could have when in hospital and then back at home. The district nurse said that anything else would have put me back in hospital again
I can't even use elastoplast of any sort. I have very odd allergic reactions to things on my skin and never wear a watch at all as the metal reacts to it and I still get shower stuff on prescription calle Dermol 200 which I can use in the shower.Blooming nuisance at times but hey ho things could be worse.

Hope everyone has a good week half gone already I have my fingers crossed for my eldest DGD Katie as she takes her driving test tomorrow and it will make such a differance for her with the baby as she will be able to get out better to the shops etc from where she lives. Her OH works long hours so she is a bit isolated at the moment.

Right, time to get the kettle on I think, have a good day chums.
Longest day tomorrow then the nights start to draw in again

    Cheers JackieO xxx

    Morning

Ah so its your fault RosyRed  windy and grey here too defo not a parasol day :D

bellabella sounds like you have grounds for complaint with your cruise seems they have considered the profit above the luxury

TAEnjoy Skipton ...such a gorgeous town

Feeling loads better today :j May well just be a placebo effect as I am so keen to get better sooner rather later but I can tentatively say that the antibs and the cream the doc gave me yesterday seem to be kicking in. Unless I am going out I now have to leave the dressing off so that it can get air.

Made a mini chicken curry yesterday for dinner although I did cheat with makaway it was lush. Need to strip the last bits of chicken today will shove in the freezer for butties then I can have something different tonight.

No plans for today which Im glad about so may do some emails I need to respond to and set up some work schedules for a few weeks time.

    Have a good weds everyone

Jackie good luck for Katies test tomorrow
csarina Happy birthday to lovely Mr C hope he has a great day
  • Morning all,

I'm sat with a cup of tea playing with a spreadsheet, both make me happy which is a bit sad but there you go :D

Sort of cheats paella type dish last night, throwing some leftovers and prawns into rice. Something with chicken tonight, not quite sure what yet. I might make a cake, or I might leave it until the weekend, I will have to see how worn out I am after work, might just potter in the garden which is no bad thing.
TA - I hope that finally you will have less trouble getting Mr TAs meds, you both have enough on your plate without the extra hassle of all that. Enjoy your well deserved day out with your friend.

Gers - I adore your bench and table, they are beautiful. And anything that helps with the wine drinking is a bonus in my book!

Happy Birthday to Mr csarina, afternoon tea is a great choice :p

Hope everyone has as good as Wednesday as they can
