Welcome back to the thread, Ged.If people want to allow that bully in the Whitehouse to push people around please be me my guest but do me a favour don't come back!
Perhaps you could tell us what your specific issue is with what is a pretty large country before we join you in your undefined outrage.Maybe the OP could enlighten us about his reasons why he feels we should avoid holidaying the US...
Thanks0 -
I'm curious as to how boycotting a holiday destination will alter presidential policy?
I would have thought political solutions would be far more effective than harming people who may well be opposed to whatever policy is being protested about.0 -
I'd go again anytime, I applaud what they've done. We could learn from it.0

I think this thread needs to be moved to the Discussion Time board.0

Agreed - this is more of a political issue than holiday travel focused debate.0

Mind you the time we landed, even us residents were kept waiting nearly an hour
Not sure what you mean there!
Surely if your flight from Dublin or Shannon takes off as planned, and you have done the preclearance there, the connecting flight will still be waiting for you, or have I missed something?
Is there not a separate line for US citizens/residents anyway on landing in US? Perhaps not.0 -

I think they meant the connection in Dublin/Shannon.
If the incoming flight was late and there wasn't enough time to get through US immigration and they missed their onward flight.
It's a valid concern, it took me well over two hours last time I connected in Dublin - luckily I had a 3 hour connection window (and all flights were on the same ticket).
It was worth it, however, when we landed in PHL I strolled off the plane and straight to the gate for my next connection
