    Depends how far you want to go - they are surely not fit for purpose having failed after one year, and has been stated you can claim the cost of fitting a new set too.

    There are letters on https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/template-letters/letters/
    but you may want to get a written quote to fit new taps, cost of a new pair of similar taps and bill them for that. See how that goes, giving them a fixed time to respond, and then consider small claims court.

    A suitably worded letter should get them to reconsider.

    yes I have an email off tap manufacturer that there is a plating fault I can double check email but I think thats what they say

    What we did when we had to return the tap so they could be returned to manufaturer to have a look. we bought a cheap B&Q bath tap (no sink) and that is being used at present

    This has been going on since last October we are going to look into credit card but still don't know if we can go that route as we are no longer with same company...

    martin doesn't cover that well, I can find any info on it

    Any section 75 claim goes to the card you used to make the transaction. It doesn't matter which card you are currently using.
