They have issued the payment to the account you requested, you are now relying on their goodwill to check the payment has been returned/issue another payment.

The ASA won!!!8217;t do anything. The Sun have kept their side of the bargain and paid money out its not their fault you gave them the wrong bank details. You!!!8217;ve only waited so long because of your error not theirs. The onus is on you to double check your details before sending them.

If the numbers you gave them correlate to another persons account they can!!!8217;t just go in and take it back they have protocol to follow and as you!!!8217;ve only just made them aware of the situation today it may take some time. That!!!8217;s why when you buy on gumtree etc they tell you not to use bank transfer as you can!!!8217;t just claim it back

In fairness to The Sun they have paid money to a bank account you supplied the details for, now it seems you gave them the wrong details so heavens knows where the money has gone and whether they can retrieve it. They will probably have to try and do a trace on the payment and unfortunately these things take time.

Without wishing to sound harsh I think involving the ASA at this stage puts you in a bad light as you supplied wrong details and The Sun need to try and rectify your mistake.

I understand your frustration that you just want the money you won (wouldn't we all !!) but I think a little more patience is needed here. Keep in contact with them to see how they are progressing and hopefully a resolution will be quick.

think you are mixing the threads I DIDN'T give wrong details that was somebody else I was just waiting nearly 2 months for cash and was in my right to contact ASA sorry

We aren’t mixing threads. Moonray has deleted their reply saying they’d given wrong details and so the money had been paid to someone else. They only realised yesterday but posted that they were fed up of waiting for a payment and were going to go to the ASA.

In your case you were justified to go to the asa. In moonrays case it wasn’t justified to go to the ASA as it was their own error
