E mailed Sharna to see if she sorted it now she says although I was told on 17th that I had won it wasn't signed off till 22nd so would be 30 days from then, told her not long till friday then as that is 30 days from 22nd (bet it isn't in)

now saying there has been a glitch which they will sort next week???? why???? anyway so cash will be in bank the following week wish they had sent a cheque it would have been sorted by now

I won recently, sent them my bank details, then after 28 days, having not received the prize checked my sent messages and realised I had sent wrong bank sort code, I emailed Sharna who got it sorted quickly, my fault but they dealt with it and I got my payment.

I won on the 5th June and my £50 went in today. Hopefully others has gone in too.

Here I am again with an update ,guys..

I managed to speak to the Sun Competitions executive, they've looked into my issue and are now saying that my prize money has been issued on the 15th of June. WELL THE MONEY IS NOT THERE!! Any idea what 's happened here, please? I don't know what to do... Thank you to all who will answer xx

Double check the bank details - assuming they are correct tell them you have done so and there is definitely no payment from them - say you have been very patient but if payment is not received within the next 7 days you will have to involve the ASA.

manage to get this sorted, there had been a glitch in the system holding up a few payments but i can confirm that payment will be processed early next week, with a view for funds to appear in your account a few days after .


still no cash if not in by Monday I am going to ASA for help

was already to send an email to them and have just checked the bank and it has gone in!!!! Hope yours has too good luck x

In fairness to The Sun they have paid money to a bank account you supplied the details for, now it seems you gave them the wrong details so heavens knows where the money has gone and whether they can retrieve it. They will probably have to try and do a trace on the payment and unfortunately these things take time.



Without wishing to sound harsh I think involving the ASA at this stage puts you in a bad light as you supplied wrong details and The Sun need to try and rectify your mistake.


I understand your frustration that you just want the money you won (wouldn't we all !!) but I think a little more patience is needed here. Keep in contact with them to see how they are progressing and hopefully a resolution will be quick.
