Arrrgh help! Parking fine bit complicated...

so this is the story...advice needed!
I have recently received a parking charge notice from 2014.
My brother (has same forename name, long story) has received a letter in his post for these parking notices and is obviously a bit annoyed at me. So my objective is to get them off his back (he's sending them an email of his council tax bill to prove he's not me), and I need to know what to do next.
I rang DRP who sent the letter who informed me there was also a second PCN on their books( from NCP and LCP respectively in two different districts). I have requested proof but they have said due to it being so long ago they do not have any photographic evidence of either PCN - only the warden's notes- and advise I contact NCP and LCP for proof.
What the hell do I do? I am worried if I get a CCJ it will affect my future mortgage application, and I also don't want my brother hassled. My gut is thinking of ringing them and asking to pay both at their original fine costs - for this to cease, and state that going to court without photographic evidence would be foolish. (provided LCP and NCP don't have any) Anyway I'm rambling so any help much wanted.

I'll also add his address is very different to mine, so they must have used some crude tracing tool. It's purely our name that has linked us.0

Stop breath and calm down, and for goodness sake stop ringing debt collectors, neither of those companies are litigious, and I'm sure if they were they would have started proceedings before now!
Debt collectors can't do anything only bully and threaten!
You can't just get a CCJ without getting court papers, loosing or failing to turn up, and then failing to pay within the prescribed period.
The first thing you should have sorted out is the address where the vehicle's keeper details are registered to, the forename is then irrelevant as the documents go to the correct address. In any case if your brother was getting letters about your vehicle the registration details will have been on the documents, some admin is needed there.
You now need to read all about the scam that is private parking, all information is contained in the "newbies" thread near the top of this forum.
Debt collectors should not be phoned, but the address of the keeper needs to go to the PPC so as if any court case was started the documents come to the right person, but with those two companies there is only a slight chance of that.
This whole sorry saga will time out 6 years after the PCN's were first issued if no court action is taken anyway.0 -

Is this a quote from their letter? Well they would say that wouldn't they? How on Earth can you have photographic evidence from 4 years ago that proves your case? They don't have photographic evidence and they admit it, I think it is the PPC who is being foolish!
Educate yourself by reading up on the newbie threads, if you pay them YOU are being foolish.Make £2018 in 2018 Challenge - Total to date £2,1080 -
I see you have been advised to read the thread that tells Newbies to read it first.
Post 4 in that thread tells you about debt collectors letters. Ignore the muppets.0 -

so you can get a CCJ if you lose the case(s)? not good if you're going for a mortgage...and I'm unsure why my brother has got my documents. my (old) car has never been registered or kept at his address - how I should I contact them to inform them I don't live there? cheers for your patience. I'm only sweating a bit because this has now involved my bro. its all very well ignoring and whatnot but when someone else is getting your post to their address its worrying for him.0 -

I'm aware of the ignore, ignore, ignore policy - but unfortunately due to my brother having the same first name it seems they've made a link between his address and me, and now he is receiving my mails and orders to pay. I would love to say, just ignore them mate. But a)he doesn't want my post and b) he worries it would go to court and due to his job he doesn't want anything linked to his address.0 -

Who told you to ignore?
Send them a letter, their address is on their toilet paper letters, telling them you are the keeper of the vehicle, and this is your address, but the debt is denied and you won't be communicating with any debt collection letters.
There are cease and desist letters on here written by others you could use, I haven't got time to spoon feed you.
There must have been registration problems with the vehicle, or you have moved house or what ever, the debt collectors have used a trace to come up with the nearest fit, who knows but you will have to do the work now.
These are not "fines" by the way, they are sham tickets from a multimillion pound, scam industry, and debt collectors are in on it too!
But if you had read the newbies thread you will have got that, until you have absorbed that you will get nowhere.0 -
