Dp1 Eldest and Prodigal didn't speak to me for years but technically I hadn't done anything wrong, as they realized when they kicked their addictions. Not saying that it's the same in your case but leave the lines of communication open in case she changes her mind.

DS phoned his Dad this morning. DH has problems with the phone as his hearing isn't too good.

I did ask why they didn't come yesterday, didn't really get an answer just a ' you know how it is'
No I don't know, but I don't want to give them a reason to not let us see our DGS, so I keep quiet.

dp1 I've got an electric bike and it's a godsend. You still have to do some work but on hills it's as if you are pedalling on the flat which is what I needed. I also pass my DH on hills!

silver-oldie, I'm sorry that you were disappointed - it sounds as if your DS is a bit piggy-in-the-middle with his DW.

DD and SiL will be coming over in a while with dinner so I must make the dining room table fit to eat at (we usually use the kitchen table and I sew in the dining room).

    Afternoon all,

I dont know where the weekend has gone -couldnt believe it when I
looked at the clock :rotfl:,we seem to have been dashing round all day.Only had DGS here as DGD is away with her Nanna. We all had a little walk down the river to collect more stones to paint so Grandpa has been helping him with that once we got home ( he's the artistic one) Grandpa got so carried away we've been to Hobby craft to get more supplies :rotfl:His fathers day wine from our 2 was waiting when we got back.Very late eating lunch so tea will be put back probably until the match being currently watched has finished.

Nelski I'm glad it sounds like your recuperation is going well.
Dumpling I hope Lee can enjoy life a bit more now he has opened up to his family,it must have been quite a burden on his young shoulders. xx

I might go and do a bit of sewing during the football,I've nearly finished a new top for myself-just needed some elastic which I picked up earlier.Take care all xx

I'm feeling quite envious of lots of you who have lovely memories of their Dads.

My father (still can't think of him as "Dad" as he never was one to me) died in 2005, and to this day I've shed not one single tear.

Ah, give me dogs any day of the week!!

Meet'n'greet seemed to go well yesterday; Bessie the Springer Spaniel is delightful, and has the waggiest tail I've ever come across.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Thanks...I'm thinking I'd enjoy riding one. I like riding a bike but just can't manage hills. If pedalling up a hill would be like riding on the flat I'd be fine. Theres a nice looking one in Halfords....I might call in next weekend.

Eldest came this afternoon to give Grump a Fathers day card. Its the first one he's had for 20 odd years.

It was a difficult visit both for Grump and Eldest. There were things that Grump needed to get off his chest and no doubt things Eldest didnt want to hear.

    Sleep well all.
