Go to Start | Run
Type in cmd and press enter
At the command prompt, type in the following:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
and press enter
Restart your laptop
If that still hasn't worked, if you have a floppy drive or a flash drive, then download and run winsockfix XP on the laptop0
