Thank you all. I'm not sure what the assessor has done, I don't know anything about universal credit terms. He wouldn't of been able to answer the money question anyway even if she did ask.. I did think that the assessment went badly because she didn't ask many questions about his learning difficulties. I think we must of had a nice assessor which sounds rare after reading some people's experience.

You will always read the bad stories and not many good ones. This is because if someone has a decision they're happy with, they have no questions to ask. Therefore no one hears their story.

I think I will just have to wait for the decision letter. Does the decision letter show your scores

There won't be any points scored if he's been kept in the Support Group. It's not about points, it's about satisfying at least one of the descriptors or reg 35.

For the last 3 years he has been in the work related activity group but I'm just going over all the paper work and I've read online that 1 of the descriptors for the support group is not being able to learn how to do a task ie setting an alarm clock. Looking back at his decision letter from 2015 he was awarded 9 points for this so should he of been in the support group for the last 3 years

These are the descriptors for the learning tasks activity:
11 (a) Cannot learn how to complete a simple task, such as setting an alarm clock. 15 points.
11 (b) Cannot learn anything beyond a simple task, such as setting an alarm clock. 9 points.
11 (c) Cannot learn anything beyond a moderately complex task, such as the steps involved in operating a washing machine to clean clothes. 6 points.
11 (d) None of the above apply. 0 points.

Your son scored 9 points for 11(b) - as he "cannot learn anything beyond a simple task".

    The Support Group descriptor is:
    9. Learning tasks.
    (a) Cannot learn how to complete a simple task, such as setting an alarm clock, due to cognitive impairment or mental disorder.

9 points on this activity would not get him into the Support Group.
