dumpling, I hope Lee will find life a little bit easier now he has had the courage to talk to you about this.
TA, I hope you don't take on too much, I know you love your GD's and DD but your focus needs to be on keeping healthy for Mr TA.
Ouch Nelski, I hope you can find a solution to the dressing problem.
Mr snoozer has woken up feeling ill which is a bit of a dilemma because he was supposed to be finishing off painting the front of the house this morning before we went home. Hopefully he'll feel ok after a bit more sleep.
I saw a lovely chair in a Settle antique shop. I thought it would look good in Ds's hall. I sent him a photo and he likes it so I'm waiting to hear if DD approves in which case I shall go up there and buy it.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Especially Dumpling's family and Lee. It must have taken an awful lot of courage to 'come out', you are wonderful parents to have accepted his decision. I have no experience to relate, except to say you are a very brave family and I know you will find ways of coping.
We are going to an open garden day this morning, woke up to rain!! Will have to see how the weather goes over the morning, if its bad we can always go tomorrow, the gardens are open all weekend. Its in aid of a new floor for the village Church.
Gardener came yesterday, the lawns have been cut and the garden looks lovely, I did manage a bit of weeding in the front. now it has rained I might be able to get some more plants in. I am looking for summer flowering plants.
We just had cereal for breakfast I am going to do a bacon sandwich later before we go out. I will treat us to tea and cake later. Sausage and mash for supper tonight, strawberries for dessert of course.0 -
Hi everyone
Bit cloudy down here. Off to look around local open gardens here, we go to,this village every year and it’s lovely. Popped to boot sale and got a Scrabble for 20p! Quiz tonight.
Lovely to be picking veg from our allotment, strawberries, broadbeans, spinach, courgettes coming in well now, had first peas too
Hugs to everyone having troubles. What a brave person Lee is, and a wonderful, supportive family to come out too, must have been very difficult for you all.
Happy weekend allCarolbee0 -
Good morning everyone.
Glasgow is wet and muggy. Last night it was devastating to see that the lovely Glasgow School of Art has been on fire again. After four years of restoration following the previous fire this is a real heartbreaking blow.
Dumpling - I only have arms length experience of a transgender person moving from female to male. His family were not at all supportive which caused even more anguish for him. You and your husband / family sound extremely supportive for Lee. Probably 'congratulations' is the wrong word but I hope you get the sentiment behind it.
DM is now in almost constant AF, her heartbeat was in the high 140s all night, now it's 50s. She's not going out so I'll be doing the shopping alone. Then I must knuckle down to finishing off my work.
I hope everyone has a peaceful and happy Saturday.0 -
Flying visit from me. I'm off out the door in 5 minutes. Just wanted to say to Dumpling that pigpen over on the flylady thread has gone through the same thing with one of her children. You are not alone.
Onwards and forwards

In our extended family as well, dumpling. I keep forgetting to use the third person (many many years as "she")...this one prefers "they" and gender neutral clothing.
Seems to be no problem to anyone except gov. forms!0 -
Hi everyone
Had usual busy week at work so I'm pleased its the weekend. Done some housework this morning, been into town and to my mam and dad's so I have the afternoon to myself. Got towels dried outside but its raining now....luckily I got home just as it started.
Eldest DD went to Bangkok on Wednesday, she is having a great time, but quite a culture shock. She has now joined her tour group and will travel to Cambodia tomorrow. I spoke to her this morning...she rang when I was eating breakfast and she was on early afternoon.
Having a lot of stress with youngest DD (19) at the minute... she has been staying at a friend's house for the last couple of weeks. She got herself in a lot of debt and doesn't seem to realise the long term consequences. She knows best and is very difficult to talk to. She has got a new job however and seems to be getting plenty of shifts.
Do we ever stop worrying about our children?
Well better get on, I've a few jobs to do.
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Dumpling may I wish you and Lee (I love the full length version Oleander, btw) all the very best. Hopefully his life will start to untangle itself now he's been able to reveal who he truly is. xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Nelski I am allergic to a lot of dressing, and was prescribed Cavilon to put on skin under dressing, it is also available from Chemists, its not cheap.
