Abbey debit cards being declined customer-wide?

what the hell are they doing.

these problems seem to happen on a daily basis.

it would not surprise me if they'll end up going back to their old systems, from all the complaints on here it appears that this new banking platfom they have isn't really doing the job is it....

cards are working again now, just made a £200 debit card purchase at 1PM and it authorised ok. Wouldn't surprise me if it stopped working if I needed to use it later though.

we will have to wait and see but knowing abbey they will not have the old software anywhere

Abbey's new software is provided by Isban (a software company owned by Abbey/Santander). Look up Isban on the Jobvent website and see what the IT staff are saying about Abbey's new systems.http://www.jobvent.com/companyBrowse.php?CompanyID=1463&PageNum=1 Some of the comments from earlier in the year (down the page) make interesting reading.
