these parking companies do not exhibit "leniency" , or compassion

they do not care about your "circumstances"

they are driven by profit and greed and people not knowing their rights or the laws, which is why the MP,s in the houses of parliament slagged them all off on 02 feb 2018 and why the Sir Greg Knight bill is currently passing through parliament

    https://services.parliament.uk/bills/2017-19/parkingcodeofpractice.html

and twhitehousescat is a regular on here and knows all about these sc@mmers and their d*ck turpin ways, so nothing gives him "away" - other than he fights back like the rest of us against these sc@mmers and he regularly helps others on here to fight back too and has done for several years

ignoring the court papers themselves is where you nailed your own coffin, be it about parking or not paying for a boiler repair , or not paying for your car repair

On which planet did you think that private parking companies employ 'reasonable persons'?

They are only interested in one thing, which is extracting cash from you by any means possible.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

    “argue” “appealing” “begging”

Your inflammatory language gives you away.

I asked them to consider leniency due to circumstances you know nothing about. I believe any reasonable person would have shown leniency after understanding my circumstances.

We know nothing about your circumstances, true, but we have been fighting this scam for years. We know what we are talking about.
You are not dealing with any reasonable person, you are dealing with a multi-million pound legal scam.

Parking lie don't care what happened, they just want your money. Unfortunately you have been caught in this money-making machine and come out the loser.

as you wish to complain , complain to your local MP and mention the Sir Greg Knight bill I posted about

ps:- as you have been a member here for 11 years (longer than me and longer than most of us) , you should have asked on here for help a lot sooner, at the pcn stage , at popla stage and when the MCOL arrived (that is 3 chances where you blew it)

There's your mistake - thinking you would find a "reasonable person" at ParkingEye.

When PE received your letter in response to the claim form, I can imagine them rubbing their hands with glee thinking "here's another sucker that doesn't know what he's doing".

There is no compassion in these companies.

    Have you seen this video?...

Am I being stupid? This is way out of my field of experience. It seems this was deliberately sneaked up on me by ParkingEye just to get their cash.

Is there anything I can do, that doesn't cost a fortune? Or will I just have to take it on the chin?

    Thanks for any help :D

My original post humbly explained my position, accepted I’d likely made a mistake and appealed for help. I apologise if I stirred up anger, it wasn’t my intention.

due to the info that you have supplied, you need to check if you can pay it in full and get the default CCJ struck from the register in order to make sure that your credit rating is not affected

there is little or no chance for a set aside

then do your MP complaint so that the government does something about it in that private members bill I posted about

its not coming here at each stage for help that caused this to happen

its complaining to the MP,s that will get this system changed for the better

inaction does not help at all

at least with the replies you received you are more aware of this multi-million pound sc@m (which was on RIP OFF BRITAIN once more recently)

The anger and frustration you have stirred up is aimed at parking lie.

You now need to complain to your MP as mentioned to stop this happening again to you and to others.

Tell everyone you know about this site and make sure they come here as soon as they get a PCN. This is the best source of information available on the internet concerning this scam. Do not be deceived by other inferior sources of information.
