    You are not allowed to plumb your system this way, only to the washing machine and toilets and a outside tap.

    As mentioned major chance of getting seriously ill

    Your water co. if they find out will condem it

    I have a purpose built harvester, was put in when the house was built. Got the tank thoroughly cleaned 4 years ago, cost £600. This system supplies only toilets and washing machine but even so, in summer when the ground is warm from the hot sun, then water can come out of there a bit smelly and a bit discoloured. I switched the system back to mains water. There are two filters, a coarse filter for the tank and a fine filter inside the house. I often hear birds on my roof and no way on earth would I use this water for showers or taps, in fact I am also uncertain about using it for washing, so I don`t use it any more. Waste of money tbh. I have 900 litres also stored in very large water butts, only for the garden and this does fine
