Mehefin Im with you now. Excuse my denseness.:o
Busy morning for me, nipped down to the surgery to give them my bp readings, needed to pop into the chemist to sort out a repeat prescription. Just got back in time as it started to rain. Twas only a shower but i still didnt want to get rained on.
The fatted calf has been prepared and is cooking in preparation for Grumps arrival. With any luck and if i cover it with enough gravy he might not notice he's got lamb.I dont give him roast lamb very often cause he isnt keen but i fancied a change.
Nelski if your driving illegally you might find your insurance wont cover you if you have an accident.
Speky enjoy the party... not too much though, think of your poor liver. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I have no intention of driving illegally Judi and never had ...think my message got lost there.... I work for insurance companies so am fully aware of the rules and until my consultant signs me off the car stays on the drive. Morrisons will still be there in 6 weeks:D

Being a cynical old bat I would inclined to point out sweetly to mother that apart from it being illegal you would not want to take any risks with her safety. Once she sees things as being about her she may well "get it !"
I prefer to think of you as an evil genius :rotfl: for that excellent idea. It's actually illegal to drive until your doctor gives permission after an operation as although you may feel well enough to drive the chances are that you can't do an emergency stop. I asked when I had to have a c-section to acquire the House Troll.
Well done to the Eldest of Judi. Giving up anything is hard, even something that isn't good for you.
AOD I'd buy a single duvet just for you. In a contrasting duvet cover it makes a lovely throw arranged artfully across the bottom of the bed during the day. I learned this solution the hard way0 -

Hello lovelies,
Got up early this morning and stripped the bed, then washed the bedding but didn't have time to put it out before setting off for the dentist. Mr Fix It decided to call in the surgery on the way, to collect his prescription. We had a run around with that, not in the surgery, not in the sister surgery but in the local pharmacy. Why ? It's one we have never used ! Went there after my appointment and they couldn't find it either, but it eventually turned up after several phone calls back and forth the surgery. Talk about incompetence . TA it must be the week for it !
Came home and put the bedding out on the whirly and then filled the car with the van stuff. Over to van, cleaned and filled it then called in to see DD as she is off sick with an IBS flare up. Mr Fix It was given his fathers day pressies/card and then we called in the chippie on the way home for a late lunch / early tea.
Right, now I must get the washing in, remake the bed, fill the DW and start it up. Mr Fix It will sort out the car, by cleaning the windows and checking the oil etc.
We definitely need this holiday :rotfl:. Thank you for your good wishes I shall certainly try my best to enjoy myself :j.
Take care all, I shall leave the hug bucket unlocked in case it is needed, please help yourselves. I shall see you all in two weeks.:A:A
Lots of love to all.:smileyhea

Please don't even think about getting in a car till you are both over the recuperation time and feel up to it. Maybe you would not be in an accident but even so as LW points out it would be illegal. Being a cynical old bat I would inclined to point out sweetly to mother that apart from it being illegal you would not want to take any risks with her safety. Once she sees things as being about her she may well "get it !"

Have a great holiday nanny, hope the sun shines for you!
It's been a day of showers here and hardly a glimpse of the sun, really cool (about 14 degrees) and still quite breezy.
The chimney sweep is here and I'm staying out of the way! The bathrooms have been cleaned, the kitchen worktops given a good cleaning and the hoover thrown about, I'll dust and hoover the living room when the sweep has gone.0 -
JUDI well done to your DS, x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
