Good to see you have the receipt for the drinks the driver purchased. ;)

Well someone appears to have purchased them. :rotfl:

Aldi HQ have their own dedicated parking department. Open them up with a snorting complaint on the Aldi Facebook page and they will often ask that you make contact with them.

The bottom line in all of this is, despite being the country's most aggressive private parking litigant, we have yet to see PE take an Aldi case through the courts.

  • Update:

A letter arrived the other day stating FINAL NOTICE.

Payment in full withing 14 days to prevent further action possibly including "referral to a Credit Reference Agency.... referral to a debt recovery or the issuance of court proceedings."

This because the 28 days to further appeal to POPLA has passed and there was no further appeal.

What should be done now please?

How did you get on with your complaints to Aldi?

Why didn't you appeal to POPLA?

  • Didn't get around to complaining to ALDI or appealing to POPLA due to a huge family crisis happening and it taking up a huge amount of time - after that, just simply forgot all about this to be totally honest. On the ALDI complaints procedure now though.

Unless you get that Aldi cancellation, you're exposing yourself to hassle from PE and/or their debt collectors for up to 6 years. As things stand today, there seems little likelihood of this going to court (we believe that Aldi won't let PE sue their customers), but we can't guarantee what might happen through to 2024.

So if ALDI don't cancel it then there is a real chance that this can end up on my credit report??

No. No idea how you made the amazing jump to that conclusion.

There is a real chance that nothing bad will happen.

Because that what it says in the letter received, but whether it is to be believed is another matter hence asking really. That and the fact that it was commented that PE or their DCA could be knocking on my door suggests that it could appear on my credit report.

So I can safely ignore it then and at worse put up with six years of hassling me before it becomes Statute Barred?
