Hi All,

I've read through the newbie thread and decided to appeal a PCN that I received in the post for apparently over staying at an ALDI car park.

I'll just cut and paste the "One size fits all?" Oh, and there appears to be a receipt for some drinks purchased too!

No need to add anything to the blue template appeal text.
No need to change it at all.
    Send it as the keeper.

Certainly do not add any of that stuff you have posted above.

    I... I... I...

You have used that word far to much in your post.

You need to edit your post to remove all clues to the driver's identity.

For example: it was the driver that parked the car.

The parking companies trawl forums like this and can use your posts against you.

Okay, thank you for your advice.

So no additions even about the receipt despite the fact that the appeal form says that if I don't submit something now I can't do it in the future? I also get your point about I, that was just for putting on here although I also take your point about them trawling around on the forum!!

Also the options I get for identifying me don't include just "keeper" but do include "registered keeper?" In total there is driver, registered keeper, driver and registered keeper, hirer/lessee, none of the above.

Their point about not being to add anything in the future refers to this appeal to the PPC only.

You can put what you like in any subsequent appeal to POPLA.

You should be expecting your appeal to PE to be rejected. You are only making this appeal to them to get a POPLA code so that you can enter a fully comprehensive, hopefully winning, second level appeal.

Are you the 'registered keeper'? If so, then use that option.

Don't forget to edit your opening post. ;)

Have you asked the store to cancel it?

I'll just cut and paste the "one size fits all" not mentioning any of my other stuff.

Ummm, no as it's miles away from me and it would cost me more in fuel and time than to simply pay the £40 "offer" they've given me!!

Thanks all, I'll post back here whatever happens.

gjm1168, the suggestion was that you edit your opening post.

Yes of course make sure your appeal doesn't give away the driver's identity, but read the last line of post #2.

Don't worry, I'll not nag you any more over this.
    It's entirely up to you.

Do they not have an email address or telephone number? It's also possible to find the email address of the Aldi CEO. That approach sometimes yields results.

gjm, stop wasting your time and edit your initial post now to remove all evidence of who did what.

Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people. Do it NOW!

Good to see you have the receipt for the drinks the driver purchased. ;)
