I think it is whether you are a glass half empty or half full type of a person.
When you see the excess of foods we have today and the variety, in my Dads day when most were seasonal and the only time you saw a strawberry was in the summer etc. they coped ate well and had a good life.....so being my fathers daughter I am sure I will manage.
My belief is - that if you feel that you are more settled with having ten jars of coffee under the stairs - then do it. As my friend says....whatever floats your boat.
My very first thought when I heard we were leaving the EU was 'oh God, not boring food again'. I remember well the time before the Common Market and food was indeed seasonal and extremely dull except for May to September when fruits and salad were in abundance.
Food in supermarkets was very expensive. Having just heard that all this B business might be delayed another year I am just about pulling my hair outSolar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I've been wondering how to store things, I thought of buying a new freezer as mine isn't very big but then worried about power cuts, we get quite a few where I live, the joys of being out in the sticks. I decided to f buy a bag of vegetable protein, not the made up stuff you keep in a fridge but the dried version. I bought a 1 kg bag for about £7. Today I have taken a bit out, soaked it in warm water with a stock cube and made a chili. It tastes OK but GC coming for dinner so that will be the test. If it goes down well it will be great for chili, cottage pies etc and no storage worries as the use by date is November.0

Well that went well. They wolfed the lot and didn't seem to notice any difference. Handy stuff to have in and will definitely be a money saver as well.0

Heron are selling long life skimmed milk at 49p per litre, best price I've seen so far. I've also stocked up on their noodles at 6 packs for a quid.
Have noticed a few empty areas in the supermarkets. My local Tesco has always been like that for value items but Asda is doing the same thing locally now.
Has anyone seen rolled oats cheaper than 75p per kilo as everyone seems to sell at that price? If not I'll keep buying it at Tesco and picking up the clubcard points as my tie-breaker.Saved over £20K in 20 years by brewing my own booze.

I’m wondering if a new referendum were called how many of you would change your vote? I talking Brexiters and Remainers0

I wouldn,t change my mind. If anything, the behaviour of many of the politicians involved in this process has convinced me that anything propounded by politicians merely has self interest at heart.
All I have gained from this process is merely a delusion that we live in a democratic system.0 -
I'd still vote remain. Nothing that is happening makes me think leaving is a good idea.0

I would still vote leave - for pretty much the same reason you have stated.
Have pretty much reached my optimum stock levels (just slightly higher than I would normally do for winter) so will revert to buying my usual 1-and-a-spare (unless I see any good offers). Also have small box for eldest but won't take that up just yet as it will vanish in a flash0
