Is a non direct flight worth it

I'd probably just pay for the direct flight, unless I wanted to stop over in Iceland for a couple of days.0

I am going for a week - the direct flight would get me there at 13.40 and the non-direct at 18.30 ish.
I think it's less of a problem going but could be more tiresome on the way back.ENFP - AssertiveOfficially in a clique of idiotsSmoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast0 -
4hrs is likely to leave you in the airport although I believe you can clear US immigration whilst there.
Really? I'd be interested to know if that's true
It doesn't appear to be one of the pre-clearance locations

Tricky one that...but that is not a bad saving, I flew back from Sydney via Melbourne in April to save a few hundred quid, I usually look at when I arrive as well though, especially if I am picking up a car, you might get some nice views of Iceland though on the way in and out if it is daytime....
You might bump into a handsome Viking in the airport as well!

As for the 4 hours lost at destination, for me it really depends on arrival time, if the stopover is going to get you there after 5pm local time then that doesn't leave you much room to get your hirecar and to the hotel and get a meal.
I am actually staying with friends so I don't have to worry about hotels and car hire. I just need to get from the Airport to Warrington (PA not UK )
£120 is a lot of money and it would pay for extra legroom seats - I like the way you think!ENFP - AssertiveOfficially in a clique of idiotsSmoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast0 -
