I had my boiler serviced today, £50, not sure if it needed a service as its only 2 years old.
You need your boiler serviced from year 1 to keep the warranty so yes it needed a service. If you didn't have it serviced on it's first anniversary the warranty may already be void.

Does the warranty transfer from the present property owner to you ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
