Samsung stopped recording

When we returned from holiday, our fairly new samsung tv had stopped recording programmes after 29th May. I asked a friend if they could suggest a reason, and he thought samsung had released updates about then, which could have automatically set in, and stopped my series and individual programmes that had been pre-set, from recording. Is this a reasonable thought?

What did Samsung say when you contacted them or looked on their website?

Sounds plausible to me. Are any of the programmes you missed on catch up?

Yes they are and yes that's what we are doing. Once we've caught up with everything or even sooner, will go into settings to try and stop automatic updates.
