Thanks BigEars! Not patronising - its exactly what my best mate said to me! You're right. I'm just going to leave it and try to put it out of my head.
Yest was such a bad day! Not only did I get conned by gamevillage and rejected by AQA, I also found out we've been overpaid tax credits and so they'll be taking £80 a mth for now and £160 a mth from april next year.
Its so annoying. I means running faster just to stand still in the same position (if you get me).
Really glum. Trying my best to bring in extra cash through this challenge and now it feels like the rugs been pulled from under our feet.
Anyways - my total was £115.40 but taking off my £15 lost its now £100.40

Hey Roxie - thanks, I'm glad you got what I mean... It does sound like you've had a rubbish few days and I really hate the way they can overpay and then DEMAND repayment - you should be able to say fine, I'll give you it back at a rate of my choosing as it was your mistake! Grrr!!
I've been quite lazy with the challenge so yesterday I signed up for some mystery shopping which I will do tonight and on Saturday morning. I'm really worried about the Virgin gyms one through retail eyes, has anyone else taken it on? I'm just scared in case the membership fee you have to pay upfront is totally outrageous - I should really have called up to check but the jobs go so fast you have to say yes immediately or you have lost it.
So if all goes to plan, my total should look like this:
Envirofone - £46
Mystery shopping (done) - £5
Mystery shopping (planned) - £50
Consumer pulse - £30
Barclaycard - £1.25
Credit union - £25
Tesco vouchers - £9
Ebay - £3.80
Ebay (yet to pay) - £2
Closed dormant Natwest account - £3.53
Total = £175.03
Plus not smoking has saved me £34.20 so far this month = £209.23 :T0 -
Just a quick update from yesterday, 15p Pigsback clicks, 18p Quidco clicks, 2000 pigs points for joining a bingo site with a £5 deposit so really £15. Taking my total for yesterday to £15.33, wooh!0
-
Today:
£5 redeemed from Juicy Brains
£200 from a comp win ( :T)
So that takes me to £313.33 for the month, heck... that's more than I got in wages last month! No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
big ears - you're doing brilliantly!! is this your first month or did u do last mth?
good news - gamevillage have given me back £10 as 'goodwill'. (i had a bit of a moan!) leaving me only £5 down.
I've also made £16.50 on quidco so......
total - £127 :TMANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

Well done Gemmzie on the win.
RoxieW - glad you got something back, how are you surviving the month? (I'm the one who eats away on works dime!
Not sure if anyone noticed but there's a xmas promo on quidco. It's basically to win a share of 40k for the team who spend the most but there's also spot prizes to the tune of 4k so if anyone wants to join my team, send me your quidco username - you never know, you might win something for nothing.
My team is called MSE 1 - appropriate I thought
I can only invite 9 other memebers - anyone interested?Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -

Hello everyone
Thanks for the encouragement – it’s my first month and I’ve been trying quite hard:beer:
I’m really glad you got some money back Roxie, good work! :T I find quite a few companies will just give in if you annoy them enough, heh heh!
Mookybargirl, I would love to join your team but have just done my first ever Quidco transaction and have a horrible feeling it didn’t even work (declined my card FOR NO REASON  – it’s payday, the one day of the month I’m confident I have money! So I had to pay over the phone) So I probably would be a waste of a valuable place. I’ll be rooting for you though – go MSE1!! :T
I’m beginning to realise just how much this site has taught me. My sis wants perfume and a touché éclat thingy for Christmas (well they were just suggestions, she’s not greedy and she said one or the other but read on….)
Anyway last year I would have ended up skint after going to Boots and paying full whack for one or the other. Instead, I went through quidco and compared prices myself as I find kelkoo etc don’t check all the bargain websites.:A I also looked on here for any vouchers when I had eventually selected fragrance direct (got a 5% one). I got her perfume AND makeup thinger AND a pressie for my mam’s birthday for what I would have paid for the perfume. :j
Even when I’ve paid off my debts, I think I’ll still be addicted to cutting costs to the bone!:D
Right, am off to get a winter coat (been wearing OH’s for weeks and he’s getting quite cross – plus it looks crap with my work skirts!) – have planned some mystery shopping to do en route and also printed out a load of vouchers in case I need them. :rotfl:
Have a good night!

Also a little word of warning with Ebay, we have used it since it started but have just noticed today that it now charges every time you relist and item. I was selling a prize I won and had it for buy now in 2 categories I relisted it 1 or 2 times and then sold it and got charged £23 in fees, I only sold it for £133 and paid £23 fees I am NOT a happy bunny!!!!May 2015 £10 a day currently £2080
