  • Aww ((Roxie)) that's a bummer - I'm wishing you a winning streak
Having a rubbish MSE day - all the mystery shop jobs disappear while I'm still reading the instructions to see if I can do them!
Still, I remembered to make soup last night to bring in today so at least it's not being a naughty money spending day.

Hi Big ears - dont know what to do?? should i just right the money off or wager more and hope to win it back. seems like throwing good money after bad but cant bear the thought of my money sitting there and i cant get it out. so annoye#ing - feel like i've been royally conned.
annoyed about aqa too - i used to work as a researcher so i felt like i knew what i was doing. it really sucks as i need extra cash but trying to fit a regular job around a child in school and one in nursery is a nightmare.
MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

I did some more agency work and got some Quidco, and still waiting for some other quidco to track. Total from last time I posted was £105.10

    Extra work - £110.50
    Quidco - £37.50

    So £148 + £105.10 = £253.1

I have a lot more work planned so in order to not make it too easy for me I am upping my target to £500 :D

  • Roxie, sorry didn't reply earlier, only get to come on in brief spurts when the boss isn't looking! :p
Obviously it's really up to you but I'd have to say, I'd be worried about betting more money unless you're absolutely sure you won't totally lose out - have you looked into matched betting, could you maybe make it back this way?
I know it's really aggravating to say well, I lost the money - but it might end up cheaper than blowing another £40. Can you bear to think of it as paying a tenner for 'tuition' - to always read the t&c's?
Oh my god, that sounds really patronising and I'm sorry, I hope you see what I mean and don't hate me now!!! :o
This will cheer you up as an example of not checking - I was landed with a £130 bill to get BT installed in our flat last week (really resented paying as it is rented so we'll only have the benefit for about 6 months but we really needed to get BB in)
When the engineer arrived he said: "But you already have a line, we could have just reactivated it."
Yes, despite us looking high and low for signs of a previous line, we somehow managed to totally miss the great big phone socket behind the bookshelf (which we put there so it's not like it was always there)
I'm looking at it as £130 to learn to look properly and not do what my wise mother calls a 'man look' :rotfl:
And that's one of the many reasons that I NEEDED to earn £10 a day this month - to fund my stupidity :(
  • OMG. Everybody is very good at this making money lark apart from me :(
I made £1.70 on ebay today - rubbish!
Still, better I try than give up before I start (ho hum)
  • First update for the month as I always seem to log on when the site is down.

    Quidco £112.52
    Pigsback .55
Freebies £380(but this has not arrived yet, hmmm!)
Refund on returned lino which OH going to nick for his shed £123
    Vouchers on my shopping £19.03
Total £635.10 but not really as the laptop hasnt arrived yet, but i am living in hope.

Also changed a few habits for future savings. Mileage and expenses now go straight in the saving account instead of the same one as salaries. Plus ordered my ASDA shopping through pigsback for extra points. However i dont seem to have got them yet.
    ll helps i guess.:D
....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life

New total is £202.88. Didn't get to do too much yesterday, spent a good few hours helping my housemate to sort her room out and helped her find lots of things to sell! I might offer to photograph, list and post things for her for a % of the money she makes. But I also want to teach her to do it herself!

I sorted my book shelf out the other day so they will be going on Amazon when I get back from my placement. I am also going to fill in the forms for the Access to Learning Fund as I am so close to my overdraft limit :(
