vandal paint on fence - neighbour from hell

Hi all just wanted some advice & this seemed like the correct forum.

Neighbour has put vandal paint all along my side of his fence for no reason other then mallious. 10 panels total.

Legally - as he won't listen to reason, what are my options? I read somewhere that it is illegal as it's under 6ft?

The children - aged 4 & 3 play in the garden and there has been no issues with the fence before.

He did get a police fine & council warnings for wasting police / councils time over other things which makes me think about motivation for the vandal paint.

Thanks in advance as I just want the paint removing.
council wont help as its private land.

There should be a warning sign and it should not be used under 2 metres.

I suggest you have a word with your local police.

Yep, have a word with your local PCSO if you have one, or use the nonemergency police number.

He actually has a duty of care when using this paint to ensure it doesn!!!8217;t lead to injury.

It's anti-vandal paint, not vandal paint.

Sympathy, disgraceful. As he's done other things, if they impacted you, you could press the Police to pursue him for harassment, both a civil (fines...) and criminal (jail...) offence. You'd need more than a following wind to get that taken up though...

Erect your own fence two inches inside your own boundary.

    Trespass?

It is his fence so he can paint it how he likes, provided he complies with relevant regulations.

I've no idea what restrictions there are on the use of this paint, but if as others suggest he has breached the regs, then you can get those regs enforced.

Or, as also suggested, erect your own fence next to his.
