Moved from Vodaphone activated PAC code - is a refund due?

I eventually shifted my daughters contract ok, got out of the Vodaphone contract and moved my daughters number to 3.
I never activated a PAC code before, as often in past renewed contracts within the same company.
The vodaphone one was pay monthly, so it would of been pre-paid on account, so there should be be a credit due.
Are Vodaphone very easy about this, or is there some T&C's they can keep whats over?

You still have to give 30 days notice when you end the contract, it doesn't just end on the day you use the PAC.

If you are due any refund it'll be after your next billing date. You'll get a final bill from Voda and it'll be detailed on that. Do not cancel your DD until this bill has been issued. . .

    Ok thanks for this.
I gave month notice on 17.5.18, though only activated the PAC yesterday, as was searching around for the appropriate new deal.
In my view the contract ends 17.6.18 (or thereabouts), though now we activated the PAC we no longer use vodaphone services, so is that termination date bought forward?

Ok, you can't ask for termination AND ask for a PAC. It's one or the other. So if you asked for the termination on the 17th, when did you ask for the PAC? Because that will have reset the end date to 30 after that.

On the 17th May. I gave notice and asked for the PAC, which then Vodaphone issued after trying to offer a new deal.
Vodaphone stated, if I didn't activate the PAC by the 17th June, then the PAC would not work and the existing contract would keep running.

That's correct. The 30 days then goes from the date you exercise the PAC and the number transfers (as I understand - I've had tons of contracts and simply end them at the end of the minimum term by giving 30 days' notice, but lots of people use the PAC method to keep their number and often get in a mess on here by doing the things they shouldn't do; i.e. cancelling the direct debit, assuming the contract has ended because they didn't exercise the PAC code which nullified any previous notice... etc.).

Thanks for this. OK know where I stand now. I should of just got on with it searching for a new deal. It seems like Vodafone are now taking 30 days payment for actually providing no service. It does seem a bit wrong IMHO, because I told them months notice on 17th May but now won't be free of the contract until 9th July.

If you asked for the PAC on the 17th, then the contract will end 30 days later (as long as the PAC's used). It's not 30days after you use the PAC.

I've just chatted online to Vodafone and they insist when the PAC is activated all their billing stops from that point.

Though there might be a delay as PAC codes are delayed over the weekend, should go through on Monday.

    Hi Nesty,

As you've provided the PAC to your daughter's new provider, the transfer date confirmed will also be the cancellation date with us.

If the minimum contract length has been fulfilled, the final bill will include a line rental credit. This will cover the period from the cancellation date to the date line rental was last charged.

If the number has been cancelled early, the final bill will also include an early exit fee. This equates to the daily line rental charge for the amount of days left of the minimum contract period.

    Kind regards,

    Lee

A little correction: When you use the PAC to transfer the number to a new provider the contract ends. What then happens is that you get your final bill which includes charges for the period remaining on the contract and the minimum is a month because when a contract ends the contract is changed to a rolling monthly contract.

Depends on the provider though. BT Mobile for example provide a discount off the remaining period of the contract when it is terminated early.
