Missy, May and Roo Living on as little as possible!!

Ok thought I would start a new diary. A more positive diary focusing on what I need to, so please follow along. I would love to have you here!

My story, recent marriage break down and change of career, house move etc etc! Have got plenty of debt Im trying to pay off each month. Im currently trying to sort out being self employed and sort out correct benefits but there is a shortfall. As in right now I have very little money! It will work out when everything is in place but right now things are sooooo tight.

Ok so there is me, I work as a fitness coach and weightlifter so I eat a lot of calories and protein! I have 2 children who are 5 and 6 who get free school meals. Im trying my best to juggle mum and work life.

As it stands I have about £20 for food for next week.
This is what Im buying, to combine with the food I already have in:

Milk £4.50 3 x 6pt
Porridge 75p
Bananas £2.60
Sweet potato £1
Bread 40p
Chicken £3.30
Wraps 49p
Salad 55p
Bacon 57p
Mince £1.49
Kidney beans 30p
Chopped tomatoes 32p
Fajita seasoning 55p
Lentils 55p
Peppers £1.15
Washing up liquid 50p
Satsumas £1.05
Salad cheese 40p

£20.47

This is between Tesco and Aldi as both are a 5 min drive.

I have some coins in my car which will cover the 47p

Food will consist of:

Breakfast = porridge or cereal or toast

Lunch = leftovers, salad, chicken fried rice

Dinner =
curry and rice
Chilli tacos
Cowboy stew
Shepherds pie
Fajitas
Omelette
Stew/burritos

Snacks = fruit and biscuits

I have to go past the big Tesco so will see if they have any reduced bananas.... I have an addiction to bananas :)

I have to say I have been overwhelmed by the support, kind words and offers of help from people on here. Thank you for your kindness it makes me feel like Im not on my own through this.

Missy x

Ps Im not being lazy in my grammar, my apostrophe doesnt work!

Also need to get super organised, live in a super messy half decorated rental house. So this morning, third load of washing is in. Going to hang the last lot on the line. Need to unload the dishwasher too. Hmmm may need to eat something. Am starving!

Ahhh you know when you feel like everything is out to get you a little bit.... Mays aqua beads for some unknown reason were on top of the washing machine and with the vibrations..... youve guessed it..... literally all over the floor, OMG they get EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! And kneeling on them..... well, Im glad the small ones were watching a film as the air was blue!!! And Ive hung school uniforms in one line and hung towels on the other. The towel line snapped....!!!! Clean towels all over the floor..... grrrrr. Now have nowhere to hang them. Have hung them over doors inside as I really dont want to take all of the uniforms off the line to then hang them inside. Theres not much breeze so Im not sure anything will actually dry! I dont feel like Im getting anywhere fast today!
  • Sorry you're having a frustrating day :(.

Our washing line is broken but I have two clothes horses which I put in the garden. If it rains you can get the washing in really quickly :).

Aldi have satsumas on the super 6 for 79p. I smiled when I saw the inevitable bananas.

Really good super 6 for me at the moment, lots of fruit and all things I like.

ETA If you can stretch to a few carrots (with the satsuma change or if you get RTC bananas) then they would grate nicely into your salad, the fajitas, the shepherds pie, etc.

Oh yay thanks redo! That saves me a little money, so a little extra to play with as such! Good thinking on the carrots! I have almost a LG in the fridge from the other week!

Slowly getting s little more sorted today. Have yet to unearth the eBay stuff though. Have spoke to Ex re maintenance and he said it should go in tomorrow so no iminent rush on the eBay stuff, as long as I can pay the rent in 2 weeks.

Some tidying and uniform sorting then curry to cook.

My pair love grated carrot, and I don't mind it as a salad by itself with a little oil/lemon dressing. Fingers crossed the cash goes in.
