Smart Parking fine in NI

I'm in N I.I am a full time student.I was employed on a part time basis by a company which has a smart parking car park.They did not notify smart parking and I now have 8 parking charge notices totalling 480 pounds.I notified Smart Parking of employer details,I wrote to ex employer to advise Smart parking however I am now advised by Smart Parking to pay fine or Popla.Any advice?0

also include the country or city etc where this happened, due to there being 4 nations in the uk, which have different laws or rules
