Car in for MOT

Dropped car off for MOT this morning and I know it has failed on a front spring as I've checked the online MOT service...
My only gripe is they haven't phoned me yet to say the MOT is done and what I want to do etc. What will happen is they will phone at 4pm 30mins before they shut meaning I have to collect car and take it back next week for the work to be done and retest. Where as they could have done the repair this afternoon if they had phoned for authorisation this morning. Grrr...!

Assuming they didnt have anything else booked in and had another spring or pair of springs.0

There's about 10 guys working there and if I had gone in for a spring his morning they would have done it today 9 times out of 10. They always have room for jobs. Plus a well known motor factors have a warehouse next door.0

Why not phone them and ask if they can sort it today?0

If I did that it would look like I'm spying on them and could be weird about it.0

Why not ring them and ask if they have any problems ,(instead of posting here your guesses)0

All you need to ask is if they have managed to get the MOT done, shouldn't raise suspicion of espionage too much.0 -
Turns out they had a lot on so will have to get the repairs done on Monday.

Yeah they said they had a lot of rust buckets (his words) in before me for MOT which all were needing repairs which took all their time up.
Advisories are laughable though, turns out one tyre is a snow tyre on an axle yet that tyre was on last year and they never picked it up then. :rotfl:
