  • If you worked for 31p per hour at least you!!!8217;d have some self respect.
  • And check your maths. If you!!!8217;re £80 a week better off after paying bills for working 25 hours a week that!!!8217;s a bit more than 31p per hour.

As I suggested, maybe consider some form of training or education?

Youre not working for 31p. Youre working for your wage.

If I worked out my wage after my mortgage and bills, Im sure my hourly would be much more depressing. You just think whats the point for I can get that as a handout for nothing

My aunt worked at a loss after childcare to keep herself in the game. Now her children are older and she has a good salary. Where will you be when your children leave home...

    Well luckily, now you cant.

3.2 hour still a !!!! wage for what i put into it. meaning i acquired bills as i was forced into it.
  • You don!!!8217;t put anything into it!!! What do you think minimum wage tax payers are living on after bills, you melt.

:rotfl: doesn't sound like you're the type to put enough effort in to actually earning a wage whether it be £3.20 an hour or £32.00 an hour.

When I was a single mum with an under 5 year old I went out and found a job because they considered it normal for people to sponge off the government. I was worse off than I had been claiming income support, tax credits, housing benefits etc but I could look at myself in the mirror and know I was showing her the right way to do things.

Now I'm with a new partner, we've two kids and she considers her bio father to be the odd one out because he chooses to sponge instead of getting off his backside and working like me and her stepdad.

i'm no slave sorry but i will not work for pennies.
  • I think you need a serious reality check!

I!!!8217;m in my 40s, have worked hard all my life and in a fairly senior position. For my area I!!!8217;m on a good wage - 33.5k a year.

After tax, NI and pension I take home around 1900. After my rent, CT and bills (around 1100 a month) I!!!8217;m left with 800.

    Let!!!8217;s say the month has 4 weeks, that!!!8217;s 200 a week. But I work 60-65 hours a week. At best I!!!8217;m !!!8220;working for!!!8221; £3.33 an hour.

You, unqualified and not working are turning your nose up at £3.20 an hour?

As I said, reality check. I realise this will probably put you offer ever working but hey, at least I can sleep at night...knowing you!!!8217;re not getting your HB

You're definitely not a slave, you're a leech. Leeching off your partner's income and trying to leech off the taxpayers. Stop making excuses and as was pointed out earlier, look into term time work. No childcare to pay for. If you are unqualified to earn large sums of money then you'll have to settle for minimum wage. Unless you do training which incidentally, would also take place during term time before you start claiming you're too busy for that too...

You'd rather your kids went hungry and saw even less of their mother because she has to work even more hours than she does already to keep you?
