    Good morning all.
CW - how frustrating about the water. Hope you soon find out where it is coming from.

Actually got a reasonably tidy kitchen now, but just off out to take the wall tiles we bought yesterday back. They look dreadful in the kitchen. Such a shame as we were so pleased when we found them in Homebase, even had a sample of the worktop and cupboard doors but actually in our own light, they are not right.

Feel like back to square one again with wall tiles now, but at least I can use my cupboards and worktops :j:j and have a clear floor I can walk on with stepping over cupboards, shelves, doors, tools etc.
Off to a BBQ later. Not raining yet, but very very grey so don't think it will be long :(

CW hope you find your leak soon :( could it be the window itself rather than the wall?

SnD at least you know what dosn't work now andf at least you made the decision before you put them on the wall!. A trick we used on the bathroom was to try paint swatches to give us an idea on a colour. Was a starting point at least.Good Luck and happy hunting !

If you know someone over 60 you can ask them to get an over 60's card and they could come with you on a Tuesday and get 10% off your tiles (and everything else). Only works on a Tuesday though and its 10% off all purchases.

B&Q's scheme for over 60's is for 10% off on a Wednesday.

You might be able to save a bit of money of your tiles that way

    Enjoy your BBQ

We have worked out that its something to do with the window/wondow sill. But my son has sealed everything that he can and it keeps coming in.:(

He has sealed a bit more again this morning so when it rains later we will see if it works.

Just in case its the wall we are having it pointed on Saturday.

Its really getting me down now so I hope he has sorted the leak.

Sorry to hear the leak is still eluding you all CW - have you checked that the water isn't entering higher up the window and somehow finding it's way down to the sill?

Kerri, we have run out of ideas.

My son got the hosepipe and poured water down one side of the window and water came in. So when it dried he kept wetting just one smallish area of the window and it only comes in at one point. That area has been sealed with 2 different types of sealant. Its really puzzling us as to how its getting in, the builder and decorator both can't see how water is getting in.

The thing is its not a big area of damp, its only about the size of a saucer but the decorator won't put paper on it until its sorted.

Tbh its driving us potty and we have decided to have the whole wall pointed on Saturday just in case we are missing something. Other than that we are out of ideas:(:(.

Your cake looks gorgeous and I am sure your family all had a great time on Sunday. At least the weather was good for you too, the nicest weekend of the year I think.
