Good morning everone or should I say good morning to PM, Jeferey, and snd, the only ones left on this thread. lol.
So few peeps can be bothered to post here its a shame its gone this way.
Snd are you fitting the kitchen yourself or getting a fitter in..? Hope it doesn't take too long as well. Building work and all the mess is just horrible.
We have filled holes in walls, behind the radiator had to be replastered as the plaster was loose. We had to have another larger area over the fireplace re-plastered.
We have dust everywhere which I am struggling to keep under some kind of control.
Taking the old wallpaper down was awful, but the new goes up next week.
Hopefully another 2 weeks and the lounge will be back to normal.
take care

I bet you'll be glad when it's all over CW.....If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat0 -
Jeferey its been a nightmare tbh. We found a damp patch either side of the window (just above the windowsill) when we removed the paper. Well it was dry so we had it replastered thinking it was old news and now we have rain coming in and is going to ruin the nice new plaster.
My son is now busy aiming a hose pipe where he thinks water is getting in.
Its just been one problem after another and its only 1 room for goodness sake.
Glad your building work is done anyway and you can get the house tidy again.

I'm still about too, just don't get onto MSE quite as much as I used to these days - and Thurs is always a no no for me. Plus I haven't been out shopping (or wombling) for weeks - just a few top up shops here and there. Had a spendy few months so really trying to stick to budget going forward.
So, grey and cloudy here today...for a changeFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Morning folks. Only just stopped for coffee. We are fitting the kitchen ourselves, but getting someone in to do the worktops because of the cut outs for sink and hob.
CW - What a nightmare re plastering. We are hoping nothing needs re-plastering in the kitchen. Hubby has managed to fill the holes where we took the tiles off, did think at one stage that we might need to replaster, but seems ok, thank goodness.
Hate doing decorating as you say there is so much dust and a nightmare trying to keep under control!
Jeferey - you can sit and put your feet up now.
Guess there aren't so many posts on here now as there doesn't seem to be as many bargains or glitches as in the past. These days I use a few coupons, but feel like I am doing "normal" shopping. I never find any of the 1p bargains that some are lucky enough to find.
I also used to find the odd womble here and there, but now the car parks are so clean! Desperately looking for a 10p off litre of fuel in Mr T, but no luck so far.
Will try and pop back on later, kitchen dependent! Have a good day all.0
