I forgot to mention : RETAIL PARK

Certain retail park let you have free half hour parking with or without taking the ticket from the ticket machine.

I think this one they take a photograph of your car registration. When you drive out it will snap the photo without you knowing then after a couple of days or weeks you will get a letter with a photo of your car registration.

Asking you to pay £30 etc fine this too you must ignore it. Don't call or reply to their demands. Soon it will go away if you ignore it. But if you reply they will keep sending letters to your house.

I got 1 & I ignored it, they sent me another 2 more letters last year & again I ignored them then they give up sending as it is not by law we have to pay them.

It's a retail park for god sake! not council parking area.;)

    Jaxxy

Good advice from the Doc. I did not enter into any correspondance with them despite the threatening letters getting worse and worse. They give up after 6 months or so :D

I just filed them away - get a legal pal to check over them if you are really worried but do not pay

Thank you Jeff, we learn our mistake when it actually happened to us.

Luckily it was Coupon-Mad who directed me to Crabman thread when we all were on coupon thread. Therefore, the credit should go to Coupon-Mad sadly she does not post here or discount thread anymore but she can be found on Parking thread.

I think it was also BLUE who directed me to Coupon-Mad if I am not mistaken.

Coupon-mad & crabman were very helpful as they have replied to my pm(s) when I had my 1st ever parking charges ticket:rotfl:
