Just logged on
urrrrg what have they done to the Porfolio tool
Some of my pension funds no longer showing prices
But more importantly prices quoted are bid which is completely useless when there is a big closing spread which their data feed seems to have
And the general look and feel is very poor
What a step backwards0 -
Oh dear iI, what have you done.
It is obviously following in the 'guidance' (sic) for lots of white space etc and potentially is more mobile friendly (haven't tried it yet) but my thoughts on it are, well....YUK.
Change for the sake of change.
In many ways the change mirrors the change to the new skin for MSE, the previous styles (blue for III and green for MSE) were simple, clear, and importantly easy to identify the information required.
As an example my landing 'page' used to be a portfolio that listed stocks I actively trade (as opposed to all the other portfolios of ITs etc), and III used to group the stocks, ITs, and indices in to separate tables which made quickly reviewing stock movements against the wider stock market movement very easy. Now all the entries are lumped in to the same list (table).
EDIT: I have also lost all my listed pension funds (Prudential for example)
Perhaps there are preference options that may allow me to re-engineer my preferred layout but at the moment it appears iI has gone down the same path as many others; i.e. form over substance.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Same here: I used it as an 'at a glance' state of the portfolio. Each company listed then had quick links to see news, discussion, charts and summary information. I can't find anything similar - from reading the OP, it looks like that's now only available if you have a trading account with them.
I guess I am not the target customer of the changes though - they don't make any money from me apart from a bit of advertising revenue, but I now have to somewhere else that can give me that single portfolio view - any suggestions?
edit: fixed quote0 -
Unsure atm, will have a look over the weekend at options.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Use Google Sheets and then you can use the GoogleFinance function like this:
In cell D3 put "=GoogleFinance(C3,"price")" where cell C3 has the stock exchange code like LON:RDSB
There are many other parameters "closeyest" - yesterday's closing price and so om.
Check it out - it's very easy to use and build up a nice spreadsheet to suit your needs
If you want to track funds then it can be dome but it's a tad tricky, but not beyoned the average MSEr, do it like this:
=index(ImportHtml("https://www.blackrock.com/uk/individual/products/230289/blackrock-uk-gilts-all-stocks-tracker-fund-class-d-acc-fund", "table", 0),2,3)
And finally you can list share price history between two dates if you wish like this:
=GOOGLEFINANCE("RDSB", "price",DATE(2014,1,1), DATE(2014,1,31), "DAILY")
Results in this

When on earth did you last login - nothing has changed, what you see now is how III has been for the last year.Oh dear iI, what have you done.

Change for the sake of change.
I didn't like it when it did change when TD moved to become III but got used to it.
So I don't understand the comments on this - it's NOT changed folks - hurrah! :T:T:T0 -
So why did you start a thread telling us it was changing and that it was looking good ?capital0ne wrote: »So I don't understand the comments on this - it's NOT changed folks - hurrah! :T:T:T
That somewhat implied that you knew what was going on.
The iii discussions / research beta site has gone from beta to live this weekend under the ii address and there are plenty of dissatisfied users, e.g.:

No, of course I didn't know, I just read the announcement that I discretely cut and pasted for the benefit of all you MSErsbowlhead99 wrote: »So why did you start a thread telling us it was changing and that it was looking good ?

Also a touch of sarcasm because I know how everyone here hates change - I think it's an age thing.
make change your friend, don't let anger take the reins.0 -
I think that is more appropriate.capital0ne wrote: »make [STRIKE]change [/STRIKE]usability your friend, don't let [STRIKE]anger[/STRIKE] change for the sake of change take the reins.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
