It will be free for everyone soon. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/about-ofcom/latest/features-and-news/rule-changes-to-protect-consumers-and-aid-enforcement
2 years to come around but good news for everyone.0 -
It is a good addition to the service, but it was not free. Plusnet put up their prices, then stated that, as part of the increase, they were giving all customers "free" Caller Display. Bad luck for those who have been paying for that from the start of contract. (not me)I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

And 1471 - the check last incoming caller service?
I was astounded to discover that plusnet's parent company BT charge £0.30 for each use of the 1471 service. I don't remember specifically being told about this and assumed it was not chargeable. Clearly not.0 -

Pretty sure this is wrong, dialing 1471 with BT is free, if you chose to return the call it's a 30p charge, or you could just remember the number or write it down, then dial it manually0 -

Who told you that? Whoever it was is wrong as stated above.

The 1471 is free, its when you press 3 to use the call back that it charges. So you'd be paying 30p for the convenience as opposed to hanging up and dialling manually.0

My aged Mum used to run up quite a bill with BT, until my sister and I persuaded her NOT to press 3 after 1471!!!:eek:0
