ahhh...Crashy nice to see you back...you never did answer, perhaps you never saw it, here we go, from a few days ago...
So.....crashy.....I doubt you'll answer as you never have so far, but:-
How's the old price crash theory worked out for you so far, bearing in mind the tens of thousands in rent you've paid over the years in order to not own anything?
Do tell.0 -
At the risk of being accused of being biased, Tepilo are not really estate agents, it is a pay upfront DIY listing service.
True but she (the blonde fronter) has a great big pair of lovely...eyes.
I assume she personally comes round and gives your house a good look around...be worth the fee just for her heavy breathing, she must have an awful chest or be a 40 a day smoker..lol0 -

Rent is comfortably cheap thanks, would rather have that flexibility than sit in a house that no one wants to buy for years.

Sure, if you timed the market and got out at peak bubble you would have made money, but you still need somewhere to live and with sellers in denial that is going to cost peak bubble money too, unless you sold in London and moved somewhere cheaper. Rent is just a cost, the key is to invest/save so that you can cover your costs, not buy an over-priced house with debt in an environment where interest rates are just screaming to go higher :rotfl:0 -

Its all about what you are comfortable with, if you are happier renting thats great, but remember you will always have to pay rent. If your rent is the same as your mortgage for example part of that mortgage will be paying off the debt, after 25yrs you pay nothing, if you rent you keep paying... Of course there are other costs like maintenance that you will have to pay as an owner.
As long as you are looking at a long term view buying will almost always beat renting financially...0 -
