Have BT no shame?

It depresses me that a flagship UK company like British Telecom uses EE for their mobile signals. When I'm at home or at work the signal drifts in and drifts out like the wind.
BT should be a proud company and say "This is Britain, this is us, and we're great!" rather than "sorry, you may get a signal, you may not."

You must get depressed very easily then.
If you can't get a good signal on EE where you are then change to a different network.0 -
When I can, I will. Contract. Perhaps tin cans and a few miles of string would be a step up.0

Arrive in Britain from any country where network coverage is complete, trains run on time and buses don't rattle and grind along potholed roads, and you might realise the reality that we have to adapt and accept. Switch network / Check coverage with a free PAYG SIM before signing a contract.Evolution, not revolution0 -

BT has a love affair with mobile communications. It buys mobile networks, develops them, sells them and then buys them back. Or maybe BT just has too much money they don't know what to do with. On the plus side though, it was BT Cellnet that launched GPRS so they are not all bad.
The future's bright, the future's ... er ... EE by gum (Everything Everywhere).

Why did you take out a contract with BT Mobile if the signal is so poor where you live and work?
No network has 100% coverage, and probably never will.0 -
Probably the same people who "didn't want a mobile aerial near me" are now the same ones complaining they cannot get a signalEx forum ambassador

Yep, no network guarantees coverage at a specific location, and they all encourage you to check the coverage map. Did you do this? Was your area covered? If you didn't, you can't expect much, but if their map was wrong you might have a leg to stand on. Seems daft to rant about BT when it can happen on any network though.0
