    If it was a simple question of spending money to tart the house up, I'd say "no".

    I've recently had an offer on mine - we have recently renovated the kitchen but hadn't got round to fitting cupboard doors and we also have bare floorboards upstairs.

    The EA said not to bother fixing either of these 2 points as the next owner may well change them anyway and this view was backed up by every person who came to view.

    It seems your question is more to do with family though.

    Thats actually a great help - I am more inclined to rip the carpets up and leave them bare floors, becuase i think they look horrible down imo.. We havent had any feed back yet from teh EA on the veiwings we have had - Only that they said the rooms where too small.
