And that's what I provided as well.
Absolute rubbish.
Here is a quote of your post...
"That's not how the regulations work" That is a statement of fact.
"If the incident happened because of STN ATC instructions (and I have read nothing about this to suggest otherwise), it is not one the airline could have taken reasonable steps to prevent and no compensation is due" That is a statement of fact.
"There is nothing in EU261 to support that the airline should pay out compensation for delays outside of its control and then seek to have their expenses covered elsewhere" That is also a statement of fact.
Not everyone is as naive as you seem to think. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
The opinion was that this is a case of extraordinary circumstances. Like you, I base that on what we know about the case. The other things you quote are indeed facts.
And could we perhaps drop the aggressive confrontational tone? I see no need for it just because we disagree on whether or not the OP is entitled to compensation.0 -
Ok ladies, handbags away please, let's keep it friendly.
Thanks !!!55357;!!!56845;If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Just applied to claim. So will keep you posted as to how it progresses. As to date, primera have not responded.
On top of which this holiday was meant to be escapism. I and my friend both lost our Beautiful mums, mine 8 months ago, and my friend just 2 years ago.
This was the last thing that we needed.
Greatly appreciate your advice, as no one really seems to care about anything or anyone anymore.
Thanks0 -
Tried bottomline, and it wouldn't give a definitive answer. Just that it looks like you may have a claim???0
