As I understand it the NHS will do it if it is judged to be medically necessary. Either as a "minor op" at a GP surgery, if they have the capacity, or by referral to a hospital.
If however it is judged to be cosmetic and removal is not medically necessary some GPs will offer to do it as a private procedure for a fee.
Certainly that was the situation at my GPs a few years ago.0
