Can it be easily fixed? (not by me i might add) as ive probably screwed it up in the first place.
Its been temperamental for a while, reloaded windows not so long back but still it freezes on me or turns itself off.
Not sure getting the vacuum cleaner to it this time is going to fix it.

That error happens when the system tries to address some memory space that it is not allowed to ..
Usually triggered by bad drivers or corrupt system files ..
First thing i would do is unplug any external devices you have connected (printers , phones etc) and see if it boots to windows then.
Then I'll help you fix it0 -
you could mention the make, model and the windows version you are using too?
What you use it for, and how much data is on that disk sometimes gives an idea what to recommend or scrap?0 -

It only happens occasionally but it is annoying when it does happen.

How often is the STOP 0xA happening? Can you live with that failure frequency? If so, just keep on restarting it.
Since you don't have any important documents there's no point in me suggesting you back them up frequently!0 -
I would try , from an admin command prompt
sfc /scannow
That will scan and attempt to fix any corrupt system files
See if it finds any0 -

Yeah I can live with it but just wondered what was wrong...no, need to back up files as what I have is in the cloud.
Frequency....2 or 3 times a week.
Sometimes goes dead and can't switch it on for a few minutes then comes on itself.
It goes dead more than I get a blue screen though. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'd also look for updated drivers and BIOS on the manufacturer's website.
I had a motherboard with a built-in firewall which intermittently caused the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. Disabling the firewall in the BIOS worked round the issue.
So my guess is that it's a driver or BIOS issue.0 -

Is the CPU fan spinning at a sensible speed? If it's not a blur, it's too slow. While workstation Dells can have no CPU fans at all, the desktop ones tend to have a fairly standard CPU mounted fan.
Next thing to check after that (for me, anyway) is RAM.Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -
