Is your claim marked as "defended" on MCOL?
So I have received a letter from HM Courts & Tribunals Service which details that they acknowledge receipt of my defence and that a copy has been served on the claiment.
I have checked on MCOL and it show that my defence was received on 18.03.19 but I can not see any 'defended' status marker and nor see any other option choices?
I believed my next steps were to wait for a response from either the claiment or the court sending me a form for choosing my preferred court location?:cool:0 -
The Northampton CCBC (MCOL) is reportedly running behind schedule - all the PPC claimants, using MCOL as their debt collection arm causing the backlog, maybe? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Perhaps. I anticipate the Questionaire from the CCBC to arrive soon...:cool:0

Would it be worth the OP replying to that email from Sir Greg's office along the lines of the following?I wouldn't regard the Sir Greg Knight response as 'disappointing'. He was never going to take up your personal case (that is for your local MP), but you can be sure that appraising him of your run in with the PPC will have added weight to the case he is making in his Private Member's Bill - you are fighting a battle, Sir Greg is fighting a war.
Perhaps Sir Greg's assistant misinterpreted the OP's original email? (This does happen a lot in Parliamentary offices, ime.)Suggested_reply wrote:Dear xxx,
Thank you for your reply to my previous email. I appreciate that Sir Greg is unable to represent me on an individual matter, however, it was not the intention of my email to ask for this from him.
My intention was to provide him with another example of the behaviour of the members of this industry that his Private Members Bill is targeted at combating.
Can you please reconsider passing on my previous correspondence to him in this light?
Yours sincerely,

Thanks for the advice. Once I have concluded my case, I can for sure pursue the comms from Sir Gregs office and respond to them.:cool:0

QC? Queen’s Counsel’?
Or DQ? Directions Questionnaire?
G’s have to receive a copy of that when you’ve completed it and, eventually, a copy of your Witness Statement, your cost schedule and - if you decide to use one - your skeleton argument. So you’re not clear of contact with them by a long chalk yet. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
