By that do they mean a wheelchair with a person in it, or the wheel chair in the boot?
Wheelchair accessible with a person seated in the car is not posible in many cars.

Wheelchair accessible means that its been built or adapted so they can enter it in their wheelchair. Typically citroen berlingo, ford transit, peugeot partner type vehicles.

The kicker is that some of them are excused from taking wheelchairs on medical grounds. So they might have a WAV, but it can't actually be used as one.

I think this thread is about a 20 year old driver not a 20 year old car. See post #1.

I think people know that. But as it depends on the council area OP wants to drive in (and OP hasn't provided that information), none of us can answer it definitively.

I think we just got sidetracked with the vehicle requirements. But if OP doesn't know if its possible to become a taxi driver at his age, he may not know there are separate requirements for the vehicle so worthwhile mentioning.

He may need £20k for a converted citroen berlingo, ford transit, or peugeot partner, and £5/10k for the insurance. I can foresee fares rising :)
