    4500 litres + 4000 litres = almost 10,000 litres?

Almost 9000 but not 10,000 surely?

Just 6 months! Wow, that's nothing.

In this scenario there would be no new to add to it. Looks like we ditch realism and go with fiction.
    Many thanks.

You mean you don't think they'll refine much new petrol in two years? 45 million litres of petrol used daily in the UK, so I'm guessing there will be enough for you to add your drop to....

They vary the additives and mix throughout the year because of seasonal conditions. But that's to make sure it burns well not that it burns at all.

What do you want them to use the petrol for?
    Running cars
    Camping stoves
    Electrical generation
Firebombs for killing the zombie horde?

I suspect certain uses will be more tolerant of poor quality fuel than others

    Mainly running cars and generators.

No Zombies, that been done to death! We're going more into Lovecraft territory, the things there are far, far worse.

It's just a pitch, pilot script and series breakdown. But, yes, very dark ;)
Getting them to commit is nightmare. We have contracts for 5 different series live and signed at the moment but until they decide to actually make one they mean nothing :(
