Cancel Virgin outside of 14 day window if no cable in house?

Hi,
I signed up with Virgin in May, but because of problems and complaints logged we have not had the cable put into the house and am still with my old provider.
It is outside of the 14 day window since the order was taken, but because we have had no service or equipment, can I cancel my contract?
Thanks

Can't answer your question what do the T&C's say.
When I had NTL (VM's predecessor) installed in 2003 it took nearly three months.0 -
Yes you can. Or at least I did 18 months ago after waiting 3 months with no sign of the cable ever being laid.
But as said, just check the Ts&Cs. If they say you can't then your comeback can't be 'well some random person on a forum told me I can!', but instead it can be 'well your Ts&C's say I can'.0 -
Thanks, i'll check the T&C's and let you know0

The T&Cs are here: http://www.virginmedia.com/shop/the-legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-for-fibre-optic-services.html#ending
"
M. Ending this agreement- If you have ordered the services online, by telephone or from an agent attending at your home you have a statutory right to cancel an order for the services within 14 days (the cooling off period) from the latest of (i) the day after the delivery of the equipment (ii) the service start date, and (iii) the day on which you received a copy of these terms and conditions in printed or PDF format."

14 days after the latest of those dates , so if the equipment hasn't been delivered ,and the service hasn't started then you should be able to cancel on at least 2 reasons0
