PPI Upheld but cannot get the money released what can I do?

My ex partner applied for a PPI check with several banks and the Halifax came back with PPI on a loan and mortgage which we took out together. The decision was upheld and redress was £5660.00. My ex partner received a letter from Halifax with all the information but it stated as the mortgage and loan were taken out jointly she would received half the amount and they would contact the other party (me). My ex has an account with Halifax but I don't and my ex showed me the letter and asked me to get in touch for my share. I did this but didn't pass the security I gave the wrong postcode to our last address and of course they didn't have my new address and the assistant said she would have to escalate it and somebody would call me back this was three days ago and I haven't received any calls. I am wondering if it may have something to do with the fact that I have a partially settled agreement on a loan and credit card with Lloyds TSB going back to late 2015/early 2016 when I was in a bit of a mess and negotiated mainly full and final settlements but with Lloyds TSB this was a partial. With Halifax being part of the Lloyds banking group could this refund of PPI be offset against the Lloyds TSB partial settlement, also what is the best thing to do now to try and resolve whether I can get the monies or not. My ex has had hers paid into the Halifax account she has. I hope somebody can help or point me in the right direction.

Sorry new to site just finding my way around not used to computers either. The added problem is accessing the monies due to not getting through security, is there any way round this like going into Halifax with ID - driving Licence, Passport and Utility Bill from current address? I'm not sure how I can proceed should I give them another call?0
