Has anybody tried to use the new updated Patient Access App on their Apple ipad or iphone?
Both my husband and I have tried to use it today to book appointments and order prescriptions and it just doesn't seem to be working at all. .
Can't find any way of giving feedback about it. Would the NHS have had a hand in the development of this? If so, Heaven Help us with technological advances in the NHS going forward!

Its all been changed recently, working fine on Android after I updated it
Go to Apple store update/download again
or uninstall and reinstall for the new version0 -
I logged in earlier and it was very, very slow. Worked eventually, though.0

It says on the online version homepage that its experiencing problems and 'currently unavailable'
I tried it quite a few times tonight before I spotted the message.0 -
yes very slow or no access today.
It was fine before they updated the site!:mad:0 -
patient access is not working wont even let me log in
new and improved they say ?0 -
I think it,s a cunning ploy by the NHS to stop patients getting GP appointments. And they're telling us that in the future they will be governed by more technology than ever before !0

I can't log in at the moment on my phone, where it had automatically updated to the new version.
On my tablet though, I can't even have the new version, my device is not supported! Probably too old, like me!0 -
As an IT person of many years standing, it really does depress me when large organisations cannot resist making big launches like this when (a) they are clearly not ready, and (b) it is rarely necessary with modern technology to make big launches all in one go.0

I couldn,t agree more, especially when the NHS as an organisation is currently so much under the spotlight and struggling in so many areas.
Surely it should have been possible to launch a pilot scheme in one or two Clinical Commissioning areas first and then iron out any hiccups which occur.0 -
Typical Government update, worked fine before, doesn't work at all now
If it aint broke, don't bloody fix it !0
