Paying Broadband with Sterling Debit Card from outside UK

Options
I am trying to get a proper home broadband account set up, have been using Relish for some time and it is frankly rubbish (very slow, poor service) but coming up against a rather arbitrary brick wall.

Most of my time I spend outside UK but I am here a few days every month. However, this means I do not hava a bank account here. When I try to set up an account I am getting to the point of setting up a direct debit but getting conflicting messages - change your name, change your account etc.

As the title of the thread says all I am trying to do is pay for my broadband through a sterling account from abroad. There is no cost to the broadband provider and I am a homeowner here so there is no issue of my not having a legal presence and address for service here. Does anyone know if any broadband provider is comfortable with this? The staff manning helplines find it more easy to say no than to look into it in any detail.

Thanks!
