wonga refusing to clean up mistakes

Options
hi here are the facts of my problem:

BR in september 2016 (wonga listed on BR)
discharged one year later. have official PDF file of discharge.

i noticed a couple of weeks ago that on one of the CRA files, well on two really, that a couple of companies debts on my BR where still applying monthly defaults (as close as april / may 2018, nearly some 2 years after BR).

so i set about contacting them. QQ were easiest they just wanted to see discharge and then said wait 45 days for them to update. halifax are looking into it also but i had to post a letter.

wonga, now they have been rang and emailed, but they firstly wanted to see discharge (no problem i thought this is what the others have asked to it must be std procedure), they got this then said thanks but they needed to see they were listed on the BR itself, i protested and said well you obviously know about it because the lady on phone told ME my BR dates etc and obviously they have stopped enforement actions. i said ok and then took screenshots of the online BR system showing wonga named on it. all good i thought.

then i recieved this email reply

"Thank you for your recent communication about reporting your data to the credit reference agencies.

We are unable to remove any searches, footprints or defaults that have been applied correctly from your file, however, if you believe that any searches, footprints or defaults have been incorrectly applied by us, please contact xxxxx"

am i right in thinking that they shouldnt apply defaults after BR date (sept 16), or is it even the discharged date (sept 17), either way they are nearly 1 year or nearly 2 years of applying wrong information on my account?? all other creditors except a couple have marked the accoutns on the credit files as "satisfied" partially satisfied or "settled".

any advice? they are obviously harming my credit file, despite admitting that they have no interest in the debt as they are aware of the BR and all letters / threats stopped in '16. and if they keep applying monthly defaults then they will never "drop off after 6 years" will they because they are keeping themselves active on my file.

That's not true. They will drop off 6 years from the initial default.

The satisfaction date I believe should be your discharge date.

if they are applying one EVERY month, then surely its a rotating thing, yes in 2022 the first ones will drop off but then eg last months default will still be there till april 2024? and they havent marked as satisfied so they arent telling the CRA or any other lenders that that debt is sorted, making me look a bad choice for future lending surely.

No. As I explained, the account drops off 6 years after the initial default.

    There's no surely about it.

The ENTIRE entry, including recent updates will be removed from you credit file 6 years from the initial default.

So in 2012 all trace of the account and history will vanish, no matter what.

Wonga must however mark the file to indicate the account was satisfied or partially satisfied at your discharge date.

I'd have thought your bankruptcy would be doing that. You ARE a bad choice for future lending right now.
